Gokshuradi Guggulu is a tablet preparation. Wherein Guggulu is an ingredient.

Its usage:

It is widely used in the Ayurvedic treatment for diabetes, difficulty in passing urine (dysuria).

It is also used in female health care. Female gynecological problems like menorrhagia.

It is also used in treating gout and urinary calculi.

Gokshuradi guggulu ingredients:

Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) 1.344 kg is boiled in 8.064 liters of water and reduced to 4.032 liters. Purified guggulu – 336 g. and heated to a semi-solid consistency. Then it is added with 48 g of each of

Trikatu – Pepper, Long pepper, and ginger

Triphala – Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) Amla (Emblica officinalis)

Musta – Cyperus rotundus

Its Side Effects:

There are no known side effects with this medicine. 

However, it is best to use this product under medical supervision. 

Self-medication with this medicine is discouraged.

A very high dose than prescribed may lead to stomach irritation.

Dosage:

1 – 2 tablets 2 – 3 times a day, before or after food or as directed by an Ayurvedic doctor.

Usually, it is administered along with water decoction of Musta, pashanabheda, usheera, etc.
